This is something I’ve been frustrated with for a really long time in our weird, fucked up society. Real people’s attractions and desires are zero percent aligned with societal standards of beauty and status, which are really just misogyny and the patriarchy trying to control the masses. It’s gross and it needs to change. Joel, thank you for writing this! You are excellent!
